Honestly, I asked myself the same thing when I was starting out. I got all hyped up reading reviews and watching videos, ended up grabbing a grafics card (see, I still type it wrong lol) thinking I needed it for everything. But then I realized my old integrated setup actually handled most of what I do just fine.
