Yeah, I got one a while back thinking it’d change my life or whatever. Turns out I mostly just use it to check the time and occasionally see who’s texting me when my phone is across the room (which is… a lot, because my apartment is a mess and I lose my phone in the couch cushions like every day).

One thing that really annoyed me? The charging. I swear I had to charge it every single day, and the little magnetic thingy would slip off at night, so I’d wake up to a dead watch. I tried different positions, but it just wouldn’t stick. My old analog watch (which I still have, it was like ) I only have to wind up every few days and it’s fine.

What surprised me? It actually does track steps decently? I mean, I have no idea if the number is accurate, but it’s fun to see that I walked like 2 miles just shuffling around my tiny apartment. But honestly, I think I could have just used a pedometer app on my phone for free. Or just… walk.

I also kept forgetting to put it on after showering, so half the time it was sitting on the nightstand. And I’m pretty sure I never set up the sleep tracking right because it kept saying I was sleeping at 3pm when I was just watching Netflix. Whoops. So yeah, maybe I used it wrong.

If you have a specific thing you want to track (like heart rate during exercise) and you don’t want to carry your phone, maybe it’s worth it? But for just random daily stuff… I dunno. I think I just wanted a gadget. Now it’s in a drawer somewhere with all my other “I’ll use this tomorrow” things. My cat likes to sit on it though, so that’s something?
